Equatorial Hotel Management Sdn. Bhd. and Equatorial Hotel Sdn. Bhd., together with their subsidiaries, affiliates, related companies, and associated companies, collectively referred to as “Hotel Equatorial,” guarantee the lowest available room rates on www.equatorial.com for any of their hotels, subject to the following terms and conditions:

The reservation must be confirmed online through www.equatorial.com, and the confirmation number must be provided when submitting a claim.

A claim must be submitted within 24 hours after the online reservation is confirmed on www.equatorial.com and at least 24 hours before arrival at the hotel.

The original online booking rate and the competing rate must apply to the same reservation. “The same reservation” means the same room type, package inclusions, hotel, stay dates and duration, number of guests, booking type, whether cancellable or non-cancellable, advance-purchase policy, and all other terms and conditions governing the room rate.

A “Competing Rate” is defined as a publicly available retail rate published on the website of another online booking retailer for the same hotel, room type, package inclusions, number of guests, check-in and check-out dates, cancellation policy, and payment terms, which is lower than the publicly available retail rate published on www.equatorial.com.

The Competing Rate must be found on an official contracted website of Hotel Equatorial.

Only one claim may be submitted per stay. A “stay” is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel by the same number of guests.

Any Competing Rate offered in a different currency will be converted accordingly. A claim may be rejected if the difference in price is determined to have resulted from currency exchange-rate fluctuations.

After verifying the availability and conditions of the lower rate, Hotel Equatorial will match the lower rate and provide an additional 10% discount.

This guarantee does not apply to:

Opaque or auction websites where the hotel brand and/or the specific hotel is not disclosed until the reservation has been completed, including but not limited to Priceline and Hotwire.

Websites offering bundled travel packages, such as airfare and hotel accommodation, hotel accommodation and car rental, or hotel accommodation and restaurant vouchers.

Qualified discounted rates, including but not limited to government rates, travel-industry discounts, and extended-stay rates.

Unpublished or negotiated rates offered to corporations, travel agencies, groups, associations, or any other rates that are not available to the general public, including rates that require membership in a club, affiliate programme, or other organisation and are offered specifically to a particular group of individuals.

Reservations made within 24 hours before arrival, including last-minute offers.

Hotel Equatorial has the sole and absolute discretion to determine the validity of any claim, including whether the Competing Rate is genuinely available and whether the claim satisfies all applicable terms and conditions. In the event of a dispute, Hotel Equatorial’s decision shall be final.

This guarantee may be amended or withdrawn at any time without prior notice.
